Although the wood-fired oven has been moved inside the kitchen, you can still view this hallowed beast through windows and in winter sit in front of an open fire. Early birds catch the limited number of boned shoulder of lamb that has been slow-roasted in the oven for up to five hours with garlic and rosemary; others plump for the crispy, oven-baked whole baby snapper. Pizza include the crispy thin-based margherita topped with tomato, fior di latte cheese and fresh basil, and the Australiana of chicken breast with smoked bacon, caramelised onion and parmesan. Succulent seafood pizza is covered with king prawns, scallops, coriander, basil and a touch of chilli. For something different, the vegetable Goan-style curry is also a winner.
