Twelve Apostles

These upright limestone formations rising like ruined pillars from the sea are some of the most  photographed and recognisable images of the Victorian coastline. If you visit on a summer evening,  watch out for thousands of short-tailed shearwaters (muttonbirds) flying inland to their nest burrows. There is a kiosk and toilets on site. The Twelve Apostles are near Loch Ard Gorge.
