Portofino on Bank
Transformed from an old 1868 bank building, Portofino on Bank is an elegant and popular restaurant serving fragrant and zesty dishes that display strong Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences. Ingredients are sourced from the best local produce and the food rarely disappoints. Regulars love the kataifi – pastry-wrapped goat’s cheese balls served with local honey and zaatar spice, the spaghettini with local crayfish, and the cardamom and honey-roasted duck breast with radish, mint and currant salad. The restaurant’s owners, the Clancey brothers, have paid particular attention to their award-winning wine list, so take time to choose a wine to match the flavoursome fare or seek the advice of Andrew or Shane; they are consummate hosts and will be pleased to oblige.
