This elegant dining room cooks up rustic-style Italian dishes that very nearly could have come out of an Italian grandmother’s kitchen – except there is not an Italian in the house. Homemade gnocchi with gorgonzola cream is a popular entrée, along with crisp pork belly or perhaps Venetian-style pan-fried mussels with crab spaghetti. Main courses are also good, with dishes such as seafood stew of white fish, mussels and blue swimmer crab, and oven-braised lamb served with parmesan and sage crust. And to finish: tiramisu, of course, or vanilla-bean panna cotta served with saffron and poached pear.
