Bacchus Marsh is on the Western Highway just outside Melbourne’s city limits. West of here is the scenic Werribee Gorge State Park, while to the north is the equally striking sandstone gorge of the Lerderderg River. The Bacchus Marsh Caravan Park is on gently undulating ground off Main Street, and is equipped with grassy sites, a disabled toilet, a playground and a clutch of cabins. Pets are allowed at the manager’s discretion, so have a chat to them when booking if bringing an animal.
