O’Briens Crossing is a lovely picnic spot in the north of the park. From here you can walk west to Shaws Lake and Sweets Lookout. Experienced bushwalkers should consider shadowing the Lerderderg River across the park on the 2–3-day walk to Mackenzies Flat – the hike involves several river crossings. Head south from Blackwood on the Greendale–Trentham Rd, then turn east on O’Briens Rd.
