Firth Park is an old sawmill site in the northern section of Wombat State Forest; there are visible remnants of the logging that was done here. There’s plenty of room for tents, but the space available for caravans and camper trailers is limited. From the Bacchus Marsh–Gisborne Rd, turn onto Carrolls La and then onto Firth Rd.

This campsite is located in Wombat State Forest

The rough tracks that crisscross Wombat State Forest between Macedon and Daylesford are a favourite destination for those with a 4WD, trail bike or mountain bike, and for horseriders. The pretty Nolans Creek picnic area on Lerderderg Rd is a nice place to stop for lunch – Lerderderg Rd is part of the Wombat Forest Dr that guides motorists on a scenic 65 km round trip from Daylesford.
