This restaurant is housed in a former 1857-built bluestone bank that is heritage-listed and considered of state significance. Its rooms boast soaring ceilings with cornices, and the windows still sport the bars from its days as a bank. Cosy in winter and welcoming in summer, 2 Faces has earned a reputation for its twice-baked cheese and zucchini soufflé with mascarpone blue cheese sauce as an entrée, and the seafood-filled bouillabaisse is exemplary. Other recommended dishes are twice-cooked Western Plains pork belly or local Chesterdale lamb rack with globe artichoke and haloumi fritters. Finish with the chef’s dessert plate with a taste of everything sweet.
