Cooks Mill camping area
This camping area is off Little River Rd in the centre of the park and can accommodate a handful of caravans when the pine harvest is not taking place. The Friends Nature Trail is an easy route through manna gum forest, while the Saint Bernards Track to Jawbone carpark is a little more strenuous. Note: bring your own wood, as firewood cannot be collected anywhere in the park. Also note that the fireplace here doesn’t have a cooking plate.

This campsite is located in Cathedral Range State Park
The splendid, high-peaked ridge of the Cathedral Range offers spectacular walks and rock climbing routes to suit all levels of fitness and ability. To get here, take Cathedral La off the Maroondah Hwy between Taggerty and Buxton. The Cathedral Range is recovering from the extensive damage caused by the 2009 Black Saturday fires when 92% of the park was burnt. Although accessibility to most areas has been restored, contact Parks Victoria for the latest information. Advance bookings for campsites are requested.
