Mia Mia Gallery

Mia Mia Gallery is a self-sustaining art centre that sits in a historic house, surrounded by 9 hectares of bushland, and is a 25 minutes’ drive from the heart of Melbourne. It’s open from Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm. There are regular tours of the gallery that continue into Westerfolds Park, where you will see evidence of inhabitance by the Wurundjeri people, including a canoe tree scar estimated to be more than 1400 years old. On Sunday afternoons the sounds of a live didgeridoo hums out of the gallery, whereas on Saturdays it’s the sound of traditional singing. There are also boomerang throwing workshops on Saturday afternoons.
