Muso Alan Seppings runs this bohemian cafe in the middle of the main street in Warburton. He encourages local bands with an ‘open mike’ jam night on the first Saturday of the month, and invites bands from Melbourne and touring bands from interstate to play for his appreciative diners. Using as much organic and Fair Trade produce as possible, he also sources local produce and has a thriving organic kitchen garden on the banks of the Yarra immediately behind. Locals come for the vegetarian Greek-style breakfast of tomato, olives, feta, dill and scrambled eggs on sourdough toast. Other popular dishes include smoked trout risotto, curried potato and spicy lentil roti wrap, stuffed mushrooms and huge T-bone steaks.
