Hidden behind cypress pines, historic Chateau Yering is a luxury hotel nestled among established gardens adjacent to the vast Yering Station winery complex. This 1850s homestead boasts one of the most elegant restaurants you will find, offering special occasion dining at its best. Entrées might be a crisp parcel of Yarra Valley feta with shaved beetroot, black truffle salad and beetroot jelly, or roast Yarra Valley quail with foie gras. Main courses are deliciously intricate, with dishes such as roasted suckling pig with date-stewed kohlrabi with miso butterscotch sauce and apple cider foam, or slow-cooked rump of spring lamb with Jerusalem artichoke, pea and mint custard with roast garlic and mascarpone purée.
