Lake Leschenaultia, 2 km west of Chidlow via Rosedale Rd, dates to 1897 when it was constructed as a water supply for the railways. Nowadays it is a haven for birds and wildlife, and offers visitors activities such as swimming, canoeing and fishing. Lake Leschenaultia  camping area has a good range of facilities and shady sites near the water.
