Woody Island is one of 100 islands in the Recherche Archipelago, with 240 hectares of nature reserve, 5 hectares of which has been developed for ecotourism. Choose from comfortable safari huts built on raised platforms or the rustic adventure huts, all sleeping five. Tents are available for hire in a variety of sizes and guests are also welcome to bring their own camping equipment. The island has a cafe, camp kitchen, ablutions blocks and a children’s playground. Activities include snorkelling, bushwalking, boating, fishing, swimming and birdwatching, Cruises to the island leave from the Taylor St Jetty in Esperance.
