Victoria Rock camping area
Victoria Rock camping area is on Victoria Rock Rd, 46 km south of Coolgardie via Gnarlbine Rock Rd, at the western end of town. Nestled beside the rock, visitors will find sites with basic facilities (bring drinking water and firewood) in an area that is home to many native animals, including emus, echidnas, ornate dragons and carpet pythons. It’s well worth climbing Victoria Rock for spectacular views of the surrounding woodland.

This campsite is located in Goldfields Woodlands National Park
Goldfields Woodlands National Park straddles the Great Eastern Hwy 60 km west of Coolgardie, and runs for another 40 km beside the road. Protecting significant conservation values, the area includes a diversity of landforms and vegetation: habitats such as sand plains, freshwater swamps, salt lakes with saltbush and samphire surrounds, uncut and regrowth eucalypt woodlands, and granite complexes. There are historic sites within the park that are worth a look, such as remnants of the Kalgoorlie woodlines (narrow-gauge railways), the popular 4WD Holland Track that follows the route miners trod to the goldfields, and the Goldfields water pipeline.
