Self-sufficient campers and bushwalkers will enjoy staying at Peak Charles camping area, in a shady bush setting 105 km south-west of Norseman and  20 km south of the Lake King–Norseman Rd. The easy walk to the lookout gives a good view of the surrounding countryside, but the rewards for those who tackle the moderately difficult climb to the summit are far greater. Come equipped with a gas/fuel stove, preferably, and plenty of drinking water.

This campsite is located in Peak Charles National Park

This national park south-west of Norseman is laced with nature trails for observing the area’s seasonal wildflowers and fascinating fauna. The ancient granite peaks of Peak Charles and its companion, Peak Eleanora, provide superb views of the sand plain heaths and salt lake systems, though the climb to the top is moderately hard.
