The Rocks Albany
Hotel/motel/B&B
Built in 1882 and overlooking Albany’s Princess Royal Harbour, The Rocks was once the governor’s residence before becoming a home for returning soldiers in 1915. Several years later it had a variety of uses, including a maternity hospital, school, medical centre and hostel. Extensive renovations have returned this lovely building to its former glory. Each of the 12 guest rooms are unique, some offering harbour views and with romantic four-poster beds. Guests can wander through the cottage gardens or stroll into town.
