Wolfe Creek Crater

Highlight

Two hours south of Halls Creek by unsealed road is the world’s second largest meteorite crater. It is 850 metres across and was probably formed by a meteorite weighing at least several thousand tonnes crashing to earth a million years ago. It is most impressive from the air; scenic flights run from Halls Creek.
