Swim with whale sharks, Ningaloo Reef

Swim with whale sharks, Western Australian Tourism Commission

Who is game to go for a swim with the world’s largest fish? Whale sharks congregate on Ningaloo Reef between April and July, and various tour operators run cruises to see and swim with them. These monster fish grow up to 18 metres in length, and weigh up to 21 tonnes, but they are completely harmless. With their minuscule teeth, they can only eat plankton or other tiny sea creatures.
