Annalakshmi on the Swan
Annalakshmi means the Hindu Goddess of Food, which perfectly defines the concept at this vegetarian Indian restaurant. All the food is selflessly prepared by volunteers, who consist predominantly of mothers and grandmothers working from recipes handed down generations ago. There are no set prices, as diners donate whatever they feel their dining experience was worth. Contributions go towards serving the underprivileged in India. Cooking courses and performances by one of India’s greatest sitar players, Pandit Baluji Shrivatsav, are also available. Strictly no alcohol.
