Dampier Archipelago camping areas (boat-based camping)
This string of 42 islands off the Dampier coast is home to a large and diverse range of marine species, making it one of WA’s best diving and snorkelling spots. With 25 of the islands protected as part of the Dampier Archipelago Marine Park, the islands’ white-sand beaches and blue waters also make them an ideal location for swimming or just lazing the day away. Beach camping here is for self-sufficient visitors equipped with a gas/fuel stove, but drinking water is available. Access is by boat only. A 5-night maximum stay applies.
