On Rottnest Island at Thomson Bay, Allison camping area is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of this little patch of paradise just off the coast of Perth. Swimming, fishing, snorkelling and boating are hugely popular activities, and a bicycle will allow you to explore the island and its history at a leisurely pace. To get here, you need to take a ferry from Perth, Fremantle or Hillarys, then make your way to the accommodation centre at the jetty before you set up camp. Bring a gas/fuel stove with you.
