Old Coast Road Brewery
Kicking off in March 2007, this 3-hectolitre microbrewery is part of a restaurant/beer garden complex south-west of Perth; the venture is set on a 24-hectare rural property that encompasses a 1000-tree olive grove. Founder and brewer Andrew Harris obviously had a strong influence in naming and branding of the house brews, which include Harris Bitter Ale, Acres of Wheat (featuring a Massey Harris tractor), PBH Strong Porter Ale and Pilsner. As well as being on tap at the venue, the beers are available for takeaway in six-packs featuring six different labels, which will doubtlessly appeal to avid beer-label collectors.
