The coast from Cape Naturaliste to Cape Leeuwin has a reputation as one of the country’s top surfing destinations, and the Yallingup region in the north definitely holds up its end of the bargain. There are a handful of breaks around town, including Yallingup, Smiths Beach, Three Bears and Injidup (here you can choose between Injidup Point and Injidup Carpark, with the latter producing right-hand tubes when the swells are heavy). The fishing around Yallingup and Cape Naturaliste is incredible too, especially between May and June when schools of Australian salmon are heading north on their spawning run, luring anglers with weights of up to 8 kilograms.
